Welcome to North West North Tyneside PCN

North West North Tyneside Primary Care Network (PCN) is a grouping of 9 GP surgeries that are working together with other health & social care providers and voluntary services with the aim to transform primary care in a sustainable way that positively impacts on the health and wellbeing of the local population.

North West North Tyneside PCN holds the contract to deliver a Local Vaccination Service and we are delivering this alongside other local partner organisation’s.  The location of our local vaccination centre is at the Oxford Centre, Longbenton, NE12 8LT.

All patient that are eligible for a 1st dose COVID vaccination should now book via https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/book-coronavirus-vaccination/ or call 119 if they do not have access to the internet.

There are a number of new local providers in North Tyneside on the national booking system. If you are not able to find an appointment that is suitable please just keep checking.

IMPORTANT 2ND DOSE COVID VACCINATION MESSAGE

The North West North Tyneside PCN service is now focusing on completing the 2nd dose COVID vaccinations for patients that have already attended and received a 1st dose at the Oxford Centre.

2nd Dose Oxford AstraZeneca Clinics cancelled on the 3rd/4th/9th/10th/13th/16th June 2021 & 3rd/13th July 2021 due to government guidance bringing 2nd dose appts forward to near 8 weeks after 1st dose.

If you have a text with a booking link please book into a new earlier 2nd dose appt.  If you have a booking link and need support please use the qdoctor chat or contact  0330 223 0349. 

Those that do not receive a text with a new booking link will receive a letter offering a new earlier appointment date/time.

If you have already attended a 2nd dose appointment no action is required.

Instructions for Attending your 2nd Dose Appointment:-

At the1st dose appointment the majority of patients will have been given an appointment card stating the date for the 2nd dose. Patients are usually also given the same time for their 2nd appointment.

Central Site: – Oxford Centre, West Farm Avenue, Longbenton, NE12 8LT

  • Longbenton Metro Station to Oxford Centre is a 5 minute walk
  • Four Lane Ends Metro Station to Oxford Centre is a 13 minute walk
  • Several taxi firms are offering discounted rates if you do not have your own transport
  • There is good access to free parking at the Oxford Centre
  • Please arrive no earlier than 5-10 minutes for your appointment
  • Please wear a face covering to your appointment.

Please cancel an appointment if:-

  • You have any COVID symptoms
  • You have had a confirmed COVID positive within the last 4 weeks
  • You have had any vaccination within the last 7 days

If you require an interpreter please book via your GP surgery
