GP Practices in North Tyneside are dedicated to opening opportunities to patients to take part in research across our patch. Practices are working in collaboration with each other and various teams in the area to bring greater access to patients wanting to participate in research.

In the coming years we are making a concerted effort to expand current studies and introduce new studies to our GP practices which will give patients a chance to make a difference in shaping healthcare and treatments in the future.
The studies we assist with are in co-ordination with the National Institute of Health and Research (NIHR) https://www.nihr.ac.uk/
The team works with the NIHR Clinical Research Network North East & North Cumbria (CRN NENC) to ensure studies are recorded correctly and timely in local and national management systems.
We aim to facilitate and support researchers in the development, implementation, and delivery of world-class experimental, translational and clinical research in our area.
